Philo's Bosra

Boz is one of our geldingss, born in late June 2001.  He is a medium-sized llama, with long silky fiber that makes him a real standout.  He has been a big hit at our local Farmer’s Markets in Charlotte and Hinesburg, because he is so agreeable and relaxed with everyone.  He has made a lot of friends at these markets, including the pet rabbit of one of the Market neighbors.  He is also very popular at the nursing homes that we visit.

Boz is a hand-spinner’s dream come true.  His white white fiber is long and lustrous, with a soft, silken sheen.  It is highlighted with butterscotch spots on his face and in a few spots on his body.  He is athletic, and smart, and has a real sense of humor.  This includes jumping into the van on his own when he thinks it’s time to go home from the Market!  He is trained to lead nicely, perform over simple obstacles (jumps, slalom, stairs and ramp, water, tie-out line, and loading and unloading), and is a quick learner with a willing attitude.  Boz will make a nice pet, especially for a household where fiber is appreciated.  Boz was gelded at the age of four, after producing one delightful little girl (Casablanca, or Cassie, as she is called by her owner). See her at Smith Family Farm). Boz lives companionably with a mixed herd of geldings and intact males.
